NYC ocular police?

So there should be fines for this kind of stuff. Or there should at least be some kind of a local design or visual pollution board. While Hunter College may have good intent, these types of annoying neon aphorisms end up hurting the overall feeling of the urban landscape.

Not that we need more bureaucracy in this fine city, but this ugliness needs to go away to make the city more attractive and more livable for those of us who pay taxes here.
